Honoring the Past, Inspiring the Future: 39th ABW Ball unites Airmen, NATO partners
Air Force Balls are a time-honored tradition celebrated globally commemorate the founding of the U.S. Air Force on Sept. 18, 1947. This year's event emphasized the wing's history and the enduring strength of the bilateral partnerships that secure the region today.
The evening's ceremony included a special musical performance from the United States Air Forces in Europe - Air Forces Africa band and the traditional cake-cutting, ceremony, which symbolizes the passing of history and wisdom from the longest-serving Airman to the youngest in attendance
Additionally, the keynote speaker for the event was Chief Master Sgt. Lawrence Kelsey, 39th Security Forces Squadron senior enlisted leader, who spoke to the heart of the theme and shared reflections on what it means to be an Airman.
The 39th ABW opened the evening to all NATO allies across Incirlik AB, transforming the night into a community gathering. Welcoming these international partners created an opportunity to celebrate a shared history and highlight the daily teamwork that defines operations on the installation.
